Congratulations to bigfootpete for comprehensively winning last month's competition. His chosen theme for June is "Boats".

Post your photographs below to enter. Competition rules include a maximum of 2 photographs per active member, photographs must have been taken by the entrant and relate to the theme and the competition will close toward the end of June. The prize is to choose next month's theme.

Here's my humble entry. I took this while touring the Isle of Mull on an FJR1300 back in 2007. I'd just got off the ferry and a couple of miles up the (single lane) track, I spotted these boats. I had to grab the shot very quickly on a compact camera with cars behind me pipping their horns

I call it "LAST OF THE FISHING"

Taken at the Southampton Boat Show a few years ago.

Aside from the "Thundercat", the lifeboats on the vessel in the background caught my eye... looks like deployment would be an even more exciting ride than the speedboat.

You probably know Two Tree Island which is a stones throw from me. I was thinking of photographing that huge old barge that sits derelict along from the bridge but I've just learned that our idiotic local council broke it up last week because 'it is hazardous' Such a shame.

Just heading into dry dock, only 2 1/2 years old at this point. Working in IT might be a bit boring at times but working for a shipping company has some benefits
