Know a few folk who have needed work done to there cars. When they go to the Garage they say are you going through Insurance? If they say yes they guy quotes an astronomical price, if the person then asks about paying themselves the price can up to half! Now I am not saying the insurance companies are great but the garages are the just as bad. If it was me I'd be saying to the guy about price difference as I know exactly where it will be coming from if going through the insurance.
