Centre stand only goes on when Me Julie's getting worked on. There's not enough clearence to ride it with the stand up as it fouls on the swing arrn brace.

i acquired a pair of steel rods which i thread through each wheel axle and then use my paddock stands to lift mine if that's a helpful idea?

How do you get on with those handlebar mounted mirrors..? Im thinking of doing that as my mint '05 that I have only just bought suffers from the useal mirror vibes etc.

1. what is steering lock clearance like
2. how much elbows are in view..?
3. can you take some pics from the ride pos and the front of the bike..?

1. No probs with steering lock? Mirrors don't come anywhere near the fairing or screen.
2. Excellent rear view. I don't see my elbows as I'm a pocket rocket in the first place at 5'7".

Mirrors are from a Kawasaki GT550. I've tried verious other aftermarket mirrors but unless you spend dosh they seem to be pretty crap and just for show. The ones from the GT550 are the mutts nuts. Not too long so they don't stick out too far. The right mirror is mounted on the brake res perch and the left is fitted on one of these...

I forgot to ask, what are the vibes like now they are bat mounted, as you know stock one vibe at various speeds when your trying to see wtf is behind you etc..

The mirrors on there now are superb and are the best i've had fitted to bike so far. The pair that were on there before came from my Hyosung supermoto. Still good but not as good. The pair I had on previous to that were feckin shite. I had better mirrors on my Raliegh Choppers. Parked up, if the wind blew they would vibrate and go into spasm. Okay under 10 mph

The only downside with the ones I have fitted now as that 'Kawasaki' is moulded into the front of the mirror, but I can live with that. The mirrors give excellent reflection and definition way into three figure clock readings.

The dog bones fitted are 126mm but the bike also has an R6 shock fitted supplied by Devilsyam. Remember that the R6 shock is shorter in lenght than the standard shock.

The dog bones I had fitted with the standard shock were 139mm.

Measurements are from centre of hole to centre of hole.

First pic has the standard length shock. the second picture has the R6 shock.





Roughly the same ride hight though.

Make sure you put it on the centre stand first to support frame weight otherwise you'll have a lowider

And to add what cable tie says. Chock the front wheel to stop the bike moving forward and off of the stand. If your bike toples onto you and you get a footpeg in the eye it will make you say 'Ouch!' very loudly.

or alternatively strap the centre stand to the front wheel which will also stop you 'lifting' the bike off the centre stand whilst working on it - especially when doing something like undoing the rear axle nut.
