Yes, it looks like everything's there apart from a heavier spring. The standard R6 spring (525lbs) is just about ok at legal speeds, but borderline above that.  If you're 6 stone it's not an issue, if you're 15 then it'll be dangerous, even on full spring preload.
Dogbones are aftermarket, what length are the dogbones from the centre of one hole to the centre of the other, around 130mm?

Not sure on the measurements.
How hard to put a nee spring on is it, they sell the hyperpro one on e bay, what would you recommend?
Maybe it would be better to just get a YSS?

It's worth persevering with the R6 shock, with the right spring for your weight it'll have far more useful adjustability than a standard YSS shock.
It's a shock between 2008 and 2016.
The "problem" is that the R6 spring is about 6.5 inches long (when removed) but virtually all aftermarket spring manufacturers make them in 1 inch increments i.e. 5 inch long spring, 6 inch spring, 7 inch spring etc. Ten years ago, when I was making these up for 600 owners I used a 6" Faukners spring from Demon Tweeks (cheapest) plus a 13mm thick alloy spacer on top. The spacer allowed the correct amount of spring preload, without it you couldn't get the spring into the correct preload range.

There are charts online which show Ohlins spring dimensions: hopefully it'll show the spring's length too.
I *think* K-tech might be the only other manufacturer who do the replacement R6 springs the right length.

Let us know your weight & I will find the correct spring rate for you (providing you don't take a pillion all the time).

It does sound like the best upgrade but I don’t thing I have the technical know how to pull it off as far as adding the bits needed and setting it up. I do use the bike as a tourer as well so carry extra weight. To be honest I went to spain last year on it with the original shock and hoiked it up to the top preload and it was ok. I don’t carry pillions though. If I could pay someone to do the necessary adjustments to do the  R6 upgrade I would but otherwise not sure I could get my head around it.

Providing you are content, I am happy to do the conversion spade work for you? I think I may have a spring spacer or two still knocking about, so could go with a Faulkners spring, which is the cheapest option.Send me a PM  :)
