Tyre removal/fitting lubricant?
« on: 06 October 2021, 09:48:27 pm »
Always fit my own bike tyres to prevent others butchering the rims, should I use genuine purpose made tyre lubricant?   Used washing up liquid in the past but been told it has salt in it which isn’t good for the alloy rims?

Bought a tyre fitting machine a few years ago now as I was fed up with paying to have it done.
I've heard the same as you so have always used a dedicated lubricant for the job. I prefer the liquid to the grease though.

I will use a liquid as well, what product do you use?
