Loads of people who were 'working' from home during lockdown have bought dogs to give them something to do walking them. A lot of these same people are now being asked to return to work.Apparently, having seen the cost of professional dog walkers they're either handing them in to dog rescue centres as fast as they can, or are demanding that they be allowed to take them into work with them .You couldn't make it up.
They must have paid a fortune for them as well. Have you seen how much dogs, any dogs, are nowadays . And it's easier to escape from Alcatraz than get one from a rescue centre.

I have just found out that there was a massive anti lockdown protest in London, 100s of thousands marching through London. And not one mention of it on BBC or sky news.
