Just been reading an article about this in the latest edition of The Vintage & Classic Motorcycle magazine.

Unused 1977 Norton Commando still in the original shipping crate up for auction (lockdown permitting) on November 14th

Apart from putting it in a museum, there is not a lot you could do with that. You wouldnt be able to ride it on the road even if you wanted to.

Nobody in their right minds would ride it anyways. Problem being that it may be worth 20-30k in the crate but you can probably half that at least if you put it together and got it on the road. As BBROWN1664 says... its clearly a museum piece

I had a 750 Commando in the 70's--shook it's self to bits, and had oil leaks from the engine casings--a pile of crap even after changing all the casing bolts with stainless steel hex head allan screws. next bike was a Yamaha 350RD LC like riding on a cloud in comparison.
