trying to fit them fiddly little bastards with my fat, old, arthritic wanking spanners is bad enough.    gapping and timing them? :wall :wall :wall

Oh yes, had 3 on my KH250 and 750's.  That looks like a GT550?

I think I'd be looking for an electronic ignition conversion kit. Are Piranha or Boyer Brandsden still around?

Had enough of them on my '66 Bonneville. Boyer Bransden to the rescue :lol . Obviously purists would want bikes as they came out of the factory, but foc that, I wanted to ride mine rather than wave spanners at 'em.

Carl Rosner is my local Triumph dealer. They're still campaigning a Slippery Sam rep in classics, and have raced that bike since it was current. I had Lucas Rita on my Bonnie as well at one stage. Can't remember now which one needed a deeper points cover(Boyer or Rita), but I do remember having the hump after fitting whichever one needed the deeper cover as it prevented the fitting a high level pipe on the right hand side, as that was the look I favoured at the time.

I went to school with his brother Tim. Oddly enough I got my Speed Triple new from Jack Lilley, when they were at Shepperton High Street, as Carl wouldn’t match the deal.

Lovely 2 stroke engine, much like their GT750, it even had a gear position indicator or the ones I've worked on have.
