Replacement engine bolt kit suggestions
« on: 18 April 2020, 03:10:56 pm »
Greetings all,

Might anyone have any recommendations Based on experience for a decent replacement engine bolt kit for the Gen1 please?
Mine is DPBM in colour and would prefer something close to standard please in colour.
Thanks in advance.

Probolt not cheap.

Or Race Bolt, they do complete kits.

A2 Stainless more for you're classic rebuilder but a bolts a bolt and you've got to know what you want.

They're are many other engineering places who will stock what you need or can get it.

If you want a slightly cheaper alternative

I bought a set for my 600, they're not highly polished but shine up nicely without much effort. Not fitted them yet but they seem to be decent enough quality.

Thanks for your responses guys. Sadly, I ordered some last night before you both posted, so didn’t get the chance to look at the cheaper versions suggested.

I went with Probolt in the end. Like you say, not cheap. 😳

Thanks anyway.

Well think of it this way mate, Probolt are an excellent company so at least your getting top quality kit and not Chinese cheese steel 👍

Absolutely 👍. I’ve had the joy of trying to remove inferior cheap and nasty bolts in the past.
Happy with my purchase.
