Le Touquet 2020

Le Touquet  2020 .
The biggest beach race in the world.
Held over 3 days at the end of January every year in the up market coastal resort of Le Touquet.Its about an hours ride down the D940 coast road from Calais .
We normally stop for a coffee on the way down and have some lunch in Le Touquet.
We have been going out for the last 10 years on the final Sunday.
This year it will be the 2nd of February.
We have booked the 7.20 euro tunnel going out and the 18.20 return.£15 each way .
If any of you want to join us just book your train .
If you have to return at another time no problem.
We are meeting at the terminal  no latter than 6.30am

What a brilliant thing to do!! I've a lot of commitments and am a bit of a wimp regarding my beloved or I'd be with you    have a great time,keep it shiny side up and a happy new year    yours will be starting off ace

Just googled it, I know about the uk one but that looks completely MENTAL  . And I would love to actually take part  Sounds like you have a great trip every year John.

Its is mad .
They shut the town to cars so the bikes can ride in .
Over 200,000 spectators over the 3 days .
The top off road racers going for it on the Sunday completely bonkers .
They have race whatever the weather.

  . Might be a tad cool for the bucket and spade. I'll save that for the Margate Meltdown. I know roughly what to expect as went to the Weston Super Mare event, many moons ago. If it stays dry, will be a great day out. Get the thou finished and come down.

when this was first posted it had me reaching for my passport,the bloody things expired  ...still caring for my mother so anytime away has to be planned way in advance.....will find my bucket and spade out and see you at Margate on the 25 may........yep ,that`s been moved along with the bank holiday as well    ....
