My dad had one. Comfy and quick mpg wise delends on how you use the throttle but 45mpg (same as Fazer) is realistic.
Another ex-Fazer rider that is a foccer again

Don't be naive thinking a low milage example is a good one, i've seen low milage bikes in terrible condition, hardly ever serviced.
 
go buy the condition/service history!  ;)

Alot of people seem to think they burn oil which is normal?  :rolleyes putting me off abit

Yes they do burn a bit of oil.


Yamaha set a guide of up to 1 litre per 1000 miles.
If it was more, then they would replace the barrels, pistons, rings and gaskets under warranty.


Bloody good bikes though  :)
I loved mine. Kept her for 5 years and never had any problems.


Great handling depending on the tyres fitted.
Had mine on bridgestones and it was great, but it hated pirelli's and dunlops. They totally screwed up the turn in.
