It’s an expression that has cropped up in the media recently, possibly an “in”  buzz word, sort of thing. It means trying to do the impossible. Quite apt when it comes to understanding women.

Pizza is round because traditionally you "spin" the dough to stretch it.

Boxes are square because they're easier to make that way.

It's cut in triangles because cutting across the diameter of a circle is the easiest way to divide it up evenly.

If you understand this, you'll understand how sexist (and ignorant) the original author of that was being...
