I may be being dense here... but with the brake disc and chain being the wrong way round wouldn't that mean the foot controls would be the switched too?

No, it's the standard set up. Shaft goes through the gearbox to the other side.

Bonneville series has always had the chain on the right, to mimic the original Triumph twins.

Ah I see, what a needlessly complicated set up haha

And the early new ones have the ignition key switch in the side of the headstock..
It's all about being a 'genuine retro'  :)

Dudeofrude you posted (on Page 1) the sort of Bikes that would make my jaw drop. :)  8)

I also like the below, clean! Starts off as a stock Ninja 750, stripped, then a custom Fighter kit by Huge design...

BMW's new concept cruiser

Urgh! Not for me at all
Looks like one of them horrid custom builds where some idiot decides to stick a v8 (or something equally silly) into a normal cruiser frame

That is cool.  And it's got so many styling cues taken from BMW's of the 20 and 30's.Wow!

It’s the R18 concept, and they’re bringing the production version, the R18/2 to the NEC.

Quite like that apart from the silly oversize tyres.  It’s pretty cool, pretty darn cool, though somebody needs to tell the builder using white tyre marker is very uncool.  Virago engine?

Indeed, the XV920

They did a black version too, but not as nice as the white/chrome

If those rear shocks have any travel on them at all, that tail piece is going to last about 100 yards.

Naw there ain't much travel there - eh?  Not sure how far I like to go on it :lol   At least the rear tyre looks kinda squishy.  But the bike is gorgeous - I think it is seriously cool, and original.
