FZ6 fuel tank filler

Hi every one,what is the thing in the FZ6 filler ? inside the tank ?its like a strainer of some sort but with big holes ?makes filling up really slow

Possibly a gauge to prevent the diesel nozzle being shoved in. It has been known.

i thought that at first ? then after filling for 5 minutes i tryed the diesel nozel, fitted as well loads of roomaround,you have to fill it that slow or it kicks the nozel to stop ? i think in the manual its called the filler tube ?
