I use Granville cylinder black. The satin black is a pretty good colour match. It's good stuff but it only lasts a year of commuting on the exhaust before it needs to be redone. I'd be interested in hearing if anyone has got more than a year out of any vht paint.

if you can,get it in the oven or even a blowlamp when you've painted it,this will cure it and make it longer lasting  :smokin

Might give that a try next time ;) . Did it last riding through two Winters? Does it give a gloss, satin or matt finish?

Bought a can of red, same make, but never have tried it, was going to paint the rocker cover on my Spider but put a rod through the side of the block before I got around to painting it.
My eyes are still red from crying and it happened over two years ago.

After trying granvile, rust-oleum high temp, and another one I cant remember I have found this one the best so far for my downpipes as the others have flaked at the collector area. No wet riding though - with any.

It's matt and I don't use it in the winter, but it really makes a difference if you cure it because the first time I used it I didn't bother and it marked up after a few weeks,so flatted it back a bit gave it a few light coats and put it straight in a pre-heated oven and it's so much tougher,I suppose it's like stove enamelling. It's worth mentioning that the bloke who told me about this rides an old Deauville come rain or shine and he's used it on that but I've never bothered to have a close look at it.

If using it on the exhausts then a good ride will cook it
