So on that basis, if you bought your bike second-hand it might be an OEM Fazer, but won’t be a genuine one as you didn’t buy it from the manufacturer.  :lol

No, you bought a second hand genuine fazer that may have some Original (frame etc), OEM (NGK spark plugs), pattern (Hi-Flo oil filter) or other aftermarket( taller screen or rad guard) parts fitted if someone has gone near it with an oily rag.

I normally think of O.E.M and Genuine as the same thing. I'm not bothered where they come from.


Aftermarket/Pattern both mean a non-O.E.M/Genuine part to me.

I guess it was always an OEM bike as you would have bought it from a stealership and not Yamaha
