ht leads and plug caps
« on: 26 May 2018, 04:57:06 pm »
Can anyone point me in the right direction? problem with the bike misfiring, so looking to change the plugs and leads. 2004 bike still on original set up so a change might sort the problem, checked coils and resistance is fine.

You can't just change the HT leads as they are sealed into the body of the coil. I have done it once as a get me home bodge but bought new coil to replace properly.
You could try snipping 10mm off the end of the HT lead when you put new caps on (make sure they're still gonna reach before you snip) - sorry I don't recall exactly which caps to go for but someone else will know.
