Link Pipe fazer 1000 Gen1
« on: 13 September 2011, 08:20:59 am »
I got a used link pipe of ebay to fit my scorpion can, It has obviously been fitted with exhaust paste previously, but it isn't slotted like the oe pipe?.

looking around I can't see any that come slotted, Must be someone who has come across this before how on earth do they clamp up?

My Scorpion link pipe is a tight fit over the collector/exup part of the original exhaust and does not need a clamp and does not leak even without any exhaust paste.

Well mine wasn't as tight as I would have liked so I slotted it to be on the safe side, all fitted and a 100 mile road test  :rollin

Yup, my Scorpion link pipe was a tight push fit on the collector box end, never had problems with it, if its a bit loose, put some exhaust paste on before attaching it, the silencer and its bracket will hold it in place. When i changed to a MIVV can, the link pipe did have clamps both ends. If you're not happy, you could always cut a couple of slots and fit a clamp..
