Brake hosesYes I have considered them. But actually after upgrading the pads in the front to some SBS sinter pads the brakes are very nice. Don't feel that's the thing holding the bike back.
SuspensionI measured the sag in the suspension today and adjusted the front preload one notch (to 5) for a bit harder front setup, the sag was in the upper limit. The bike feels more responsive and easier to turn in.
The rear is already at the 4th notch from the right (I think that's #6?) and the sag is within specs.
It's the rear that really bothers me. It seems the cheapest option is to look for a R6 13S rear shock and some dog bones. Second would be Hagons, then Nitron, then Hagon with adjuster, then Hagon with Adjust. And in the top range would be Ohlins.
Opinions?
TiresFitted Pilot Road 3 tires. Love them and feel comfortable and confident on the wet.
R6 rear shock, balance the carbs, read A Twist of the Wrist and work on getting faster/smoother etc.
All of these will keep it interesting
Carbs are balanced. Will check up on A Twist of the Wrist. It's a good point to become a better driver, not just a better bike! At this point it's probably not the bike holding me "back" as much as my mentalitiy. I've seen some pretty amazing lean angles from some foccers
