soft panniers

hey guys ,


Im planning a solo trip to the west coast this easter and need some luggage , I dont wanna spend loads on at as its not gonna be used that much and not hold a great deal of stuff,

anybody got these or something similar they could recommend for the fzs600?  cheers

I agree, I've got a set of Oxford Spirt and had them years, great bit of kit, and heatproof base in case it's near the can

+10 👍 for Oxford soft panniers. We've use them for 13 years now on our Fazer 1000 and the Aprilia RSV. So far, totally flawless and brilliantly useful. You can see them on the 2 pics below.

cheers for the advice currently bidding on a set of oxford sports same as the pic but in black and blue £30 + £6 postage so far  ,   Bargain??

Yup - a bargain as long as they're not worn out.


We always put anything we definitely need to be dry in carrier bags before they go in the panniers - but the rain has never gotten past the pannier material in-use with us.

My throwovers came with waterproof covers, lasted until I got to about 120 ...

Is it really just that velcro holding them to the bike??

Put some masking tape on your tailpiece, remove the seat, put the paniers on then put the seat back. They wont  go far

I'm with Joebloggs re putting the straps under the seat (keeps them on, but also saves the seat cover from damage).
I'd just be wary of the masking tape though - the glue can mark plastics when left in place for a while, and it turns to mush if it gets soaked - there are clear plastic films that you can get to cover panel areas you want protecting and I'd use some of that.
