I have a feeling someone on this board got a small quantity made up as I don't think they are listed normally. Do a search on the forum and you may get lucky.

Think they were made as a bulk order at the time to get the price down, i don't think there were any spares.

Yes that rings a bell. Might be few folk that need them now so another order may work?

I did enquire about this with Samco a couple of years ago. Basically they would consider doing some if there was demand for 15-20 kits and they were sent some stock hoses for reference. They couldn't commit to prices until they'd seen a stock set, and quoted around 6 weeks. The big issue is tooling up is quite a high initial cost which they need to justify.

It's a difficult issue this one, sfs performance in Luton is another company that would possibly commit to a large order. You can pick up a set of used hoses on fleabay for £15, but at their age they've got to be part perished. :(

Hi all,

It was me that organised the group buy of silicone hoses a few years ago from sfs performance. They would only do it if we ordered ten or more kits. We had 11 kits made but then they wouldn't make any more unless we put in another order of ten or more. I've tried a couple of times to do another group buy but not had enough interest.

No other company makes a full silicone set for the fzs600 98 - 03. Be very careful if you find a set listed on ebay etc as there are a few companies that make a kit for the later FZ6 but they are completely different engines.

All the best,

Chris

Think the kits ended up being £150ish each...

And they wanted at least another order of ten kits before they would make more.

FWIW, last time I was researching this, I totted these up on Fowlers:-

Part no[/t]DescPrice
5DM124050100[/t]Not available
5DM125880000[/t]Not available
4YR125890000[/t]HOSE 6
£18.10
5DM1243A0000[/t]HOSE 1 (L230)
£9.23
5DM1243E0000[/t]HOSE 2 (L490)
£19.24
5DM125890000[/t]HOSE 6
£17.42
5DM125510000[/t]HOSE 7
£13.17
5DM125520000[/t]HOSE 8 (L67)
£3.20
4YR125760000[/t]HOSE 1
£22.77
4YR125770000[/t]HOSE 2
£22.83
4YR125780000[/t]HOSE 3
£29.43
4YR125790000[/t]HOSE 4
£15.19
£170 total for genuine hoses. All but two mini straight pieces, that you could use generic hose for. Double check current prices though, their probably out of date now. And of course they won't be silicone hose, so won't last as long, should still get 10 years though.

In the end I just replace the couple of hoses I had split, plus a couple of others I found cheap NOS genuine on ebay. If a batch order of posh silicone hoses was going down, I'd certainly be up for a set.
