Enjoy mate. I've ridden one of these a few years back. Ballistic just about covers it.
More photo's please and also info on the CBR if you're selling

Cracking bike but the brakes will most likely be crap so be careful and test them out first! They're a PITA to bleed and work on as well - very common upgrade is to swap them for Nissin 4 pots off a Bandit 1200, but a radial master cylinder will also make a big difference.

Same thing I had to do on the srad 750- swapped them for the 600's 4 pots!

Well after a week of owning and riding everyday here is what i think......

Pros...
  • This thing is biblically quick the fz1 wouldnt get anywhere near it in any gear.
  • Handles well for a big lass , smooth and precise
  • Massive mileage from the tank avaraged 55mpg on the run back from doncaster
  • Cruises happily at 100mph and could hear a penny drop
  • So much torque you can set off in any gear and ride about in 5th and not have to downshift.
  • comfortable on a longer ride but not too big to commute on (have done into Liverpool 3 days this week)
  • Silky smooth gearbox no clunk in any gear.
  • Seems way ahead of its time this thing is 12 year old and still IMO feels newer and more advanced than my 06 FZ1.

Cons...
  • Bloody heavy machine (Doesnt matter too much once rolling mind)
  • Brakes are POO. (working on fixing ATM
  • The looks MARMITE (i love it myself)
  • Thats it...

These Bandit Nissan's are popular - a mate uses them on racing ZX400's. ZX9's etc.

Welcome to the "Busa Brotherhood". Pity you didn't get a gen2 Busa cos they got brakes that actually work  ;)  Get ye on the ukbusas forum.

We're a (mostly) friendly bunch on there and what the members don't know about Busas isn't worth knowing. I've just got a gen1 fazer thou' to add to my Busa and B-King garage......seems like what the members on here don't know about Fazers isn't worth knowing too.
