Relay Arms
« on: 13 August 2016, 09:33:15 pm »
Decided to clean and regrease the suspension linkages today. I noticed that the linkage which connects the relay arms to the swing arm had more play, about 10 thou, than the others although the bolt, sleeve and bearings are all OK so it looks like the eyes in the relay arm itself may have become slightly elongated. The bike passed its MOT 2 months ago and this wasn't flagged up so I'm wondering if a bit of movement isn't too much of a problem.
Any thoughts?
Rob

Problem solved- it is the bearing that gone. Previous owner had a lowering kit fitted and the longer dogbone can knock against the bottom of the shock causing the bearing to fail.
