Got a mate with a carb balancer and he is handy with a spanner. I altered the revs to just over 1000 and its already made a difference.


The Fazer manual is a godsend although it does identify the wrong water coolant drain bolt!

Still too low, put it up to 1200rpm.

Feccin hell, I guessed it was low idle speed.

Shappaeye - the idle speed should be about 1350rpm. Anything lower and it will hunt and struggle to keep going and end up sounding like a bag of spanners. Get the idle speed right and it will probably be OK.

Mine would sound like the throttle's being used at 1350rpm!

As I've broken my wrist and I'm off work for a month I'm a bit of an IDLE b*stard too!  :lol
