:agree

It might be the wake up call the game needs to get some respect into the game. You only have to watch a premiership game on the TV and you will see how spoilt the players are thinking they can get away with anything on the pitch. This cascades down to the supporters and we get the mayhem.

IIRC, years ago, it was a gentleman's game and the players were well behaved on the pitch.

BB, it was and still is.............it's called Rugby  :pokefun

Scotland seems to be in the process of putting a Rugby Team together. Give Strachan a couple more years and with the split hooves back in the top flight...reasonable to assume that the footie will follow.

Frosties - by years ago I meant the early 50's from what I recall seeing on the TV. Rugby has always been a thugs game played by gentlemen who respect the ref and the fans behave.

Decent match today, Hodgson's plan worked. Bringing on Sturridge and Vardy made all the difference. England and Wales at top of the table, it's entirely possible that they both can go through  :thumbup

if we vote brexit on the 23rd we won't be in any further european tournemounts anyway so our opening games this year won't matter....

Not quite, we're voting to be out of the EU, not Europe. (ffs)

Scotsman walks into a pub. There should be an Englishman, a Welshman, an Irishman and an Ulsterman there...... but they're all off watching the Euros

I'm no expert on football, but after watching the England V Iceland game last night....why doesn't every team have a player trained to do really long throw-ins? :rolleyes

Now you can change that to....
A Scotsman, Englishman, Irishman and an Ulsterman were in a pub, there should of been a Welshman but he WAS STILL AT the Euros

We had this guy at Tranmere Rovers, I remember Harry Rednapp being interviewed before a Worthington Cup game and Harry was asked if he was worried by the long throw in specialist Tranmere had, Harry said no as they have a plan in place to deal with it. First throw in bang Aldo scored 1-0 36 seconds on the clock. That was the year Martin O'Neills Leicester city beat Tranmere 2-1 in the final.

Would appear the lesson was forgotten by Woy

The central defender, who has played for Tranmere Rovers and Stockport County, previously held the world record for the longest throw in football. This was 152 feet (46.34 meters) in a special challenge set-up at Prenton Park in 1998, beating the previous record held by Cardiff City's Andy Legg.[2][3] When at Tranmere, he played in the 2000 Football League Cup Final.

Possibly the most lacklustre tournament ever, it'll be a moo point whoever wins it, as the teams are extremely below par (not England, we're consistently shite) so it'll be nothing worth talking about in years to come, apart from the dickheads outside who further tarnished a few nations already bad reputations.
