Clutch judder
« on: 26 May 2016, 09:10:56 am »
Hi all,

I know there's a wealth of knowledge on this forum, so hopefully someone can help me out.
I have a 2005 gen1 Fazer with 52,000 miles,
I head off into the Alps in 3weeks and now my bike is starting to judder a little bit when I release the clutch.
There is no clutch slip,it's pulling strong in every gear.
I replaced the clutch cable recently purely as a preventive measure with oem cable.

I read recently in mcn a gsxr rider having same problem with his k5 model, the problem seemed to be the clutch release spring washer below the plates not being strong enough to cushion the engagement and it sounded a simple fix.

My question is...could this be a similar problem on my bike?? Or is it likely to be something else.
It's not too bad at the moment, but don't want to be heading off with a dodgy clutch.

Any suggestions appreciated....

for the price of springs and a new gasket I'd change them to see if it solves the problem. 10 min job
