pillion handles
« on: 23 May 2016, 11:08:08 am »
hi, anybody have any ideas on how to fill the holes in left when you take the pillion handles off, I will be taking the foot pegs off in due course when I get a new can but the pillion grab handles are in the way of my short legs but they leave a big hole when you take them off. Any idea friends ?

Look for the rear cowling from a Fazer 400, no holes on them

Could you not just put the bolts and rubbers back on without the grab handles? You might need some spacers to take up the length of thd bolts or get shorter bolts?

sinto, unfortunately the handles include a base piece which fills the hole so when you take the off it leaves a big hole, perhaps the FZ8 has different rear cowling ?

Apologises thought it was for a Fzs600.
Are the grab rails used to mount the rear plastics? If not you could remove them and get a panel beater to fill them in and respray the part to the Oem colour

I have taken the handles off and bolted carbon fibre plates in place, Looks ok and does the job. I have taken off the pillion footrest assemblies, fitting an R&G blanking plate and exhaust hanger, saved close to 4kg, carbon pipe and tail tidy will save another 5 kilos at least, just need to loose about 50 kilos myself LOL

I don't suppose you would like to sell the pillion handles?
