Is your main bike a Fazer?
« on: 03 May 2016, 02:28:03 pm »
I'm asking because someone stuck up a post saying they're leaving the site because they sold their Fazer. To me that's silly. I've a feeling that a good percentage of people on here don't have a Fazer or they might have one but use another bike as their main bike.

I don't fit in your vote because the Fazer is my ONLY bike.
Could you add that to the options

If it's your only bike it's your main bike so pick the first one.

My gen 1 thou is my main "road" bike, but I probably do as much mileage on my off road KTM - can I say it's "one of my main bikes"? :rollin

I only have the two bikes, but do occasionally use the KTM for a shortish road ride just because I love it.

cheers

If a tank was about to drive over the two of them and you could only push one of them out of the way which one would it be? :lol

😄 Good question! Thing is there are less than 90 KTM 950 SuperEnduros in the UK and they are going up in value, I just couldn't replace it. Love my gen 1 Fazer thou on the road but it would be easy to replace, so the KTM gets saved. I'd then go out and find a new Fazer thou!

Cheers

Rightly or wrongly i partly ended up with my fz1 because of how good this place is......i havent been interested in any other bike forums & although it goes quiet in here at times i still enjoy it.......a good level of help & banter without everyone being abusive dickheads.

I've got 3 different bikes and they all get used. Probably similar ish mileages.. Fazer for longer trips and probably a bit more mileage if anything...

My FZ1 is my main bike but also looking for something else to keep it company it the garage. A couple of times I thought about selling it but it such a good all rounder despite the shit fuel range.
As soon as I'm out on it the fuel range is irrelevant  :)  Also, I had a fazer when I first joined up here then sold, stayed on here, then bought my current one last year.

Can't do the poll, as although my main bike is the Fazer, the nearest option says if I go anywhere, it's on the Fazer. But I go places on the Street Triple too.
No doubt though, if I could only keep one of them, it'd be the Fazer. This 5th one is the best sorted I've had and is perfect for me  :)

I used to have an FZS600 but got rid of it for the wrong reason. By the time I realised, I decided I wanted something newer but like a fazer so got the CBF1000 as there were no newish Gen1 or FZS600 around anymore.

Since then my son has got an FZS600 and I ride that when I can. I purposely haven't MOT'd the FZS for him while he is away at uni or the CBF wouldn't get any miles put on it.

I have now decided to get myself a second bike to keep in my damp shed in France for when I am out there. The CBF is too good a condition to subject it to that and I wouldn't want an FZS to rot away unloved there either so got an old Triumph Tiger to hide away over there instead. I would love to have a Fazer to hoon around the French roads on again but until I can find somewhere warm and dry to keep one, I will stick with the old tiger.

What about a "I used to have a Fazer" option?

Mine was written off in an accident last October. I haven't been riding again long and am using my old VFR until I get my compensation. then I'll decide what to buy based on how much I get.  :)

Cheers

Main motorcycle is a Fazer, but I go anywhere by bicycle.  :)

I've tried various motorycles. In terms of technicalities (weight, torque range etc), a perfect bike for me should be a 500 cc parallel twin, like a Honda CB 500, but Fazer is somehow perfect. Can't get to change it.

My main bike is a Planet X London Road custom, but that probably doesn't count.  :lol  My Fazer is my only motorbike though.
