years of wheelies finally caught up with me

We all know the Fazer likes to lift it's front a little from time to time ;-)
Well I noticed a slight knocking feeling from the front when dabbing the front brake on and off a few times quickly.couldn't get it to do it on centre stand and smooth movement left and right.
So to be safe I dropped it to a friend with a mot rolling road thing.

Yup you could feel the bottom of the stock move a little each time the brake was applied.

Booked in for next week as I hate the idea of doing them lol

Now bearings seem to be about £25 a set including seal. Tappered all balls or koyo
Local spanner said £65 for the job. Supply and fit

So is this an hours job?  I figured it was bigger than that. Not complaining but that seemed very reasonable?

I paid about that for the rear bearings at Morpheus motorcycles at Kingswood.

65 quid to supply and fit top and bottom headrace bearings.....I'd snatch his hand off at that price. Are tapered bearings standard on the Fazer?. A pal of mine fitted tapered to his bike when we both had Fireblades, cup and cone ball race was the original fitment. However they seemed to need constantly adjusting to the point that he reverted to the standard set up.
