laptop help

last nite i left my laptop open and the cat has slept on it

the result all my desktop icons have gone and only thing on there is the recycle bin which is 2" square

tried everything i no so HELP

Right click, view, show desktop icons, would be the first thing I would try

if you have a trackpad, try pinching to zoom out like you do with your mobile. if you have a mouse you can plug in you can hold down CTRL and scroll the mouse wheel as well to zoom them back out.

the cat has ate them.........wait til the cat goes for a dump and shits the icons out.........pick them up and do a Dynamo and chuck them at the computer and lo and behold they'll be back on the screen .......MAGIC!!!!!!! :D





failing that, try a system restore to the day before it happened

Sounds like the cat has managed to switch on the magnify option.  I guess windows M is the keyboard shortcut to switch it off? 

Anyone else accidentally pressed cntl alt and arrow keys and ended up with the screen rotated?
