Radial brake conversion ?
« on: 09 January 2016, 07:54:37 pm »
Hi all, has anyone done a radial brake conversion to their standard gen 1 fazer 1000 forks ?
I'm thinking a pair of adaptor plates/brackets that are sometimes offered on ebay etc.
Anyone got any thoughts or info ?
Cheers

Probably be easier to swap to an R1 front end I would have thought?

The main benefit of r adial brakesis the torsional rigidity of the caliper as itis attached inline with the direction of rotor travel rather than the conventional 90 degrees.
so fitting them via an adaptor plate is purely a cosmetic act as the fazer forks still have a conventional final fitment. Just what is wrong with the oe brakes anyway, imo one of the best set of calipers fitted to a road bike.
