Cheers Mick, bit of work needing done but not bad considering it's been sitting in a guys garage for years not running, so a wee bit of father/son bonding to boot :woot

Got a few hugs too :thumbup so he's well chuffed, he couldn't wait to post it on fb :lol
Yeah it's got a kick-start too but also an ignition but I don't have the key :thumbdown  so I don't know if there connected somehow but there is compression and spark plugs looks new but it'll all be checked in due course :)

Righto, thinking caps on guys.....

The thing I really need help with is with the wiring from the ignition, see pics but basically 4 wires and I can connect the black and red and the bike turns over.
The other two wires don't seem to do anything when connected but there's a kill switch on the bike and I'm wondering if these could be anything to do with that as I'm not getting a spark although the plug looks good.
It's an electronic sealed coil so I can't really check that as no tester.
So if you guys have any ideas to help that would be great. Appreciate you might not want to say how to hot wire a bike on here so just pm me any of your ideas, cheers.
First pic is from the ignition switch of which I don't have a key, 2nd pic is what's in the wiring loom of the bike.

What colour wires come from the Ignition Coil?
What colour wires come from the stator: (left side of engine)
What colour wire/s come from the kill switch.
Is there a black wire with a doulbe connector on it?
Most  Chinese pit bike use green as earth.

What colour wires come from the Ignition Coil? green & black/white
What colour wires come from the stator: (left side of engine)  green & red/white (both heavy wires)
What colour wire/s come from the kill switch. green & black/white & black & green/white
Is there a black wire with a doulbe connector on it?  yes, but only on the wires coming from the ignition switch
Most  Chinese pit bike use green as earth.
yes,I read that somewhere else and realised that when I took out the battery.

I'm now getting a spark :) only when I connect the red and black on the main loom, when I connect the other two I don't get a spark .

Forgot to ask, does the CDI unit have a 4, 5 or 6 way Plug?

Does it have a key ignition switch???

5 way plug

Black/white
Black/yellow
Black/red
Blue/yellow
Green

Yes it has a ignition key switch but unfortunately I don't have the key, I've tried some keys I had lying around but no joy, I don't know if these are universal keys or I'll need to buy a new ignition set.

2, 3 or 4 wires from the ignition switch and what colour?

If it has a battery it will have a small rectifier/regulator.

There should be a pick up wire or 2 from the engine, what colour are they.

Post as many pictures as possible of any connectors. there are a number of pit bikes which are wired differently, it is just trying to figure out which one you have.

Got them, give me a while to go through them and I should be able to sort something out on it.

It has a working starter and need to bypass the Key switch I presume.

It has petrol in it ?? :lol

Cheers but there's no rush tbh it's a project so I can work with my boy and he can learn about bikes (I'm learning to :) )

The starter is turning over, the piston is going up and down, there is compression but there was no spark at the original time of writing but there is now.

The carburettor is off the bike as I wanted to see how bad/good it was as I knew the bike had been lying for a few years. Since looking at it in detail I'll need to order another one. So there is no petrol in the system, originally I wanted to know if I could bypass the ignition switch and kill switch as I didn't have a key.
