Exhaust nut choices...
«

So... looking to get my exhaust changed as I'll be cutting them off to save any major difficulties (hopefully) and there are loads of different ideas on what's best to replace them with i.e.
Stainless domed
Brass domed
Normal flanged.
I like the idea of domed (particularly brass) but I'm not totally sold.
Thoughts?

I would be interested to.
I have some stainless nuts but wasn't sure if they were a good idea on the standard studs?
I currently have the standard nuts and studs with a generous coating of copper grease over everything. It seems to have hardened off leaving an anti-corrosion coating with nuts that should come off easily next time.

Will you be the owner when it comes to removing them next time?
When I changed the header gaskets on my box eye I went for brass nuts but couldn't source any over the counter so settled for stainless.

If I change a nut or bolt I go for stainless every time to be honest, purely for the shiny look and rustproofing.
I'm not too sure about the brass, thermal expansion and all that, some metals don't sit well with each other.
