Touring windscreens, what you got?
« on: 05 October 2015, 03:25:47 pm »
So took the fazer on a 3 hour trip the weekend (i dont do it often as i live in guernsey and it's TINY here) getting up to speeds i'm not used to and the wind was killing me (not to mention thick fog) , i'm 6'2. Just wondering if any of you have changed your screens to something more user friendly to take that wind over your heads, i'd be interested to know what you have got.

I've got an Ermax double bubble. Like most I guess, it lifts the windblast higher but still hits me from the shoulders up.
Also, at speed, the windblast makes my head weave from side to side, quite slowly. Bit weird.

I guess it depends what model bike you have?

Mine is a 2000/W with this double bubble on..

I fitted this after my old screen was smashed when someone knocked my bike over. It's easy to fit, I don't get any buffeting and the shelter behind it is really good. It came with a bit of plastic piping to go over the the edges but I didn't bother fitting it.

I'm also 6'2"

I've got a double bubble similar to yours and I find it's better than the standard screen but not great. I wonder if the plastic piping makes any difference?
