Is there a fix for them just being wobbly and shit? Tends to be worse after folding them in

The ones on my gen 2 were loose when I got it.
The pivot point was a great big alloy 'rivet' that just needed a bit of adjusting with a ball-pein hammer and a big drift.
I'm almost certain that the gen 1 mirrors will be the same.

Yep, a bit of a technical tap with an adjustable pressure applicator will do it.
