Cable re routing

Anyone re routed their cables (clutch/choke/ throttle) when fitting different bars?
If so any issues?
Also anyone running manual choke after cable snapped. By manual I mean activating the choke via the mechanism on the carb bank (for me it would be one less cable to tidy up the area around the bars/headstock area)
