tax direct debit

got what i thought was a tax reminder from DVLC.turns out to be confirmation of direct debit ,dont remember setting that one up ,and at the more expensive 6 monthly rate  :rolleyes .....guess who iam phoning today  :grumble :grumble :grumble .....anyone else had this problem ?

Is there not an option to convert it to 12 months, think they have a cheek though. They will be doing the same thing next for the TV licence next.
First time I filled in my self assessment Income tax return they were suggesting you down loaded some software at ££xx to make it easier, tossers.

Confirmation of direct debit? I renewed mine online but cant remember anything about setting up a direct debit. I'm wondering if there was a box to set one up they had ticked on my behalf which should have been unticked, or something like that. I've just checked my direct debits/STO and nothing there.

I did set up a direct debit and I don't remember tickiy any boxes then again I can't remember what I was doing five minutes ago :lol
