I have a full monty fazer and a standard one. The question is - can i shorten the carb spring, so its the same length as the full monty spring to make the throttle snappier on the standard bike?
Or can the mod only be done if it has the kit fitted?

You can shorten it but you won't feel any difference, Nick. It only affects throttle response at larger throttle openings/higher rpm anyways.

I had a funny feeling that it was the kit that made the biggest difference. The standard bike just doesn't pick up anywhere near as good as the ivanised one. Huge difference. I now remember why i had it done to my first fazer!
Might try adjusting the throttle position senser to see if that helps
