carb spring
« on: 19 February 2012, 03:07:55 pm »
I have a full monty fazer and a standard one. The question is - can i shorten the carb spring, so its the same length as the full monty spring to make the throttle snappier on the standard bike?  :)  Or can the mod only be done if it has the kit fitted? :'(
If it's broken, it's not fixed.

You can shorten it but you won't feel any difference, Nick.  It only affects throttle response at larger throttle openings/higher rpm anyways.

I had a funny feeling that it was the kit that made the biggest difference. The standard bike just doesn't pick up anywhere near as good as the ivanised one. Huge difference. I now remember why i had it done to my first fazer! :)  Might try adjusting the throttle position senser to see if that helps  :\
