corrupted jpeg software repair

i have a gb's worth of holiday snaps stuck on a memory card that i really need to get to a hard drive. i tried easeus and stupidly used my free gb saving video clips rather than jpegs.
is there anyone out there who can do this or recommend some other software, because i'll be damned if i'm paying £60 for a program.

erm..........no....the only bit I understood was holiday snaps, lol.

Why can't you just put the card into a laptop and download it into a file?

and what would that do?
i get a message that a jpeg marker is missing and that the file may be corrupted or incomplete (no shit) when i try and open the file from either computer or card.

If you can see it on the laptop can you rename it? If you can rename it then you may be able to play with the attributes.

If it's anything like my old camera and card after a long journey I think the static in the car would mess up the memory card.lost many complete photo days that way,,only long car journeys though..
