Crank cases

Hi all
Just been looking for a set of crank cases just on the off chance.

Found some old stock ones for a 2000 model but mine is the 2003.

There seems to be variants with part number -00, -01, -02 all which are replaced with the -02 version.

The version I've seen is the earlier one.
I can clearly see that they're backward compatible but are there differences that will effect me having my 03 engine rebuilt onto some 99 model crank cases?

Hopefully this makes sense.
