No neutral light, is it just a bulb
« on: 11 July 2015, 05:44:51 pm »
Just got my Gen 1 Fazer 1000 yesterday and it doesn't have a neutral light.

No issues getting bike in or out of neutral. Anyone else experienced this, and if yes, was it just a bulb that needed replacing?

Any help appreciated.

It happened to me, but it wasn't the bulb, it was the switch at the back of the engine. They're not too expensive since the Euro is so cheap at the moment.

Also check the connector block that runs into the back of the speedo my gen1 used to work its self out of postition and neutral light would sometimes not work.

That's a good point about the connector. My switch failed over several months I suspect because the neutral light flickered a lot before the switch finally went. Could be just a connection.
