Stiggy, it's not a case of getting the insurance, I got it the other day, but it's made a big dent in my monthly wage especially as this month is school hols (and our annual week away).

Just means I'm £100 down before I start this month, so can't justify a £70+ weekend away.  I reckon petrol will be about £50 based on 10p a mile.

Just can't afford it now, gutted, was looking forward to meeting some new faces.

As red says.... next time.

That's what credit cards are for... or at least, that's what mine is going to be for this weekend :|

I don't get paid until next week and there definitely isn't enough money for fuel in my account haha

Nick said we are going counter clock-wise so heading West from Oxford towards Cirencester I believe :)

ha ha, still got to be paid back though :-(

That's for future Dead Eye to deal with ;) Mind you, I'm still blaming past Dead Eye for my current credit bills... what a dick

A40 still closed at Gloucester. The diversion is easy enough to follow, but long-winded and takes a while.

Route will be done anti-clockwise. As I mentioned, I think it best to do the twisty B road bit while everyone is still fresh.

Not much in the way of alternatives unfortunately, unless you motorway it.

Just allow some extra time to get around it - the diversion takes you on a mini tour of (all the worst parts  :lol ) of Gloucester before dumping you back on the A40 after the roadworks (bridge repair or summat).

Just looked at the weather and it's going to be around 22 degrees so I'm up for this. I'll ride over early on Sunday morning.
I could change my opinion, but then we'd both be wrong.

Sounds good Noggy.
If you want to come back on the M4 that's fine with me. I'll get off at J33 or 34.

I'm trying to appease the gods and moving the planets so I can try to attend.....

Noggy - try the A40 out of Abergavenny, all the way past Ross-On-Wye, jump on the M50, until J2. A417 south until village of Staunton then cut across some B roads (heading for Cheltenham), cut through the metropolis of Cheltennam, back out onto the A40.

Just a thought - its a route I've used (and abused) for years........

I have a feeling Noggy's trip today is going to turn into an epic adventure. Probably even deserves it's own thread...maybe even a book  :lol
