2 of my  workmates (brothers) had their younger brother go missing on his way to school i think in 1979, and one of them has made it his mission in life to try and find out what happened.

What they should be saying is "Next Base dash cams, letting wa**kers pretend they are policemen"

These Dash Cams are perfect for a certain type of person, the type of person who, if they ever managed to get into the forces, would never have risen above the level of private, because their superiors recognise the fact that they should, in no circumstances, be in charge of anyone. So they usually went on to become Traffic Wardens, Gatehousemen, Storemen, Parking attendants, Speed Camera operatives, Health and safety or police officers, career security people, etc.

The people who want these cameras solely so they can report other peoples misdemeanours, should automatically be not allowed to have one.

Fine dash cams can be good to prove a fault in an accident like today a group of school boys on pushbikes coming in the oppisite direction one decides to show off to his mate by swerving out into my path and then back in. It the shit had fallen off during his swerve and I had ran over the nob - all his mates would of said it was my fault but I would have dash cam to prove what he had done.
That said I fully agree morons who go around purposefully and indeed orchestrating events so that they can get footage to put on their channel. What also get my goat i those who have the internal display showing a live feed WTF for.       
I read that some police force -Wales? have trialled a thing where you upload your footage and they follow it up. The only caveat being that you have to upload the whole journy so if you have been a dick which lead up to the footage then you incriminate yourself

More than that, if you point it out to them they get all pi**y with you.

The youtube users who create a channel, then rip everyone else's videos, to make up their own "car crash compilation", or "best motorbike accident" videos, etc! This is illegal ripping to start (stealing other peoples artistic content). Also they are creating these videos for the views plus ultimately to monetarize (requiring no real effort on their part).

That's why it can be a good practice to add a permanent "stamp" in the corner of your videos - making it much less desirable to them (as you then have blatant evidence they ripped your video).

I bet we all know someone who NEVER checks their tyres or, god forbid, lift the bonnet to check oil etc. so why would they worry about details such as blown bulbs?
Having said that some cars are designed to make it virtually impossible to change a bulb without dismantling half the front end of vehicle-I see them at my local Halfords store-they buy the bulb then have to pay the resident "mechanic"(fitter) to fit the b****y thing!
And why is it ALWAYS grey colour cars driving down the outside lane in POOR VISIBILITY conditions with little or no f****n lights on?

Although, at the moment on Facebook, Hampshire Police are asking if anyone was overtaken on the M27 by a blue bike and has dash cam footage.

They don't give any details, but, at a guess, someone was riding like a twat and they want evidence to find and nick him.
