This will help shave off a few lbs to gain that elusive HP.

Roadworks on the M5.  :2guns

They spend nearly three years converting the section from Droitwich to the M42 into a variable speed limit. They take away the roadworks for just over a month and then they're back again round the M42 (J4A) junction until the end of December!!!! Because of road repairs. Why the Foc couldn't they have done the repairs whilst they were buggering around with the rest of the roadworks for crying out loud?

DAB radio.

Been a tiny bit of rearranging in my department at work, and whilst doing so my guvnor mentioned my hi-fi system on my bench "looks like it needs updating".
Admittedly it does look a bit dated, but it was also attached to a couple of two foot high Kenwood speakers so it sounded bloody great to me.

So when he came past a bit later I cheekily said "Why don't you order me a new system?" and he stared at me, rolled his eyes then said "Just order one."  :thumbup

So I ordered a new, much more compact system, which sounds (not as) good, but it comes with DAB+ radio channels, Bluetooth, etc.

Great, or so I thought, but I'm now getting to realize how difficult it is to master the DAB reception, even more so across all channels.
The footprint is so narrow per channel, and yesterday when it rained it sounded like it was raining indoors with interference.  :groan

Tried splitting it into the tv aerial socket on my bench and it didn't work at all, then got the cable type aerial it came with extended so I could get it up higher but today it's had a hissy fit again.  :wall
Just ordered a proper indoor DAB aerial to see if that helps at all.

Yep dab is crap. I have a dab radio with an aerial (which is already big ) but found that I have to attach and extra piece wire to it to get any kind of non darleck speech across lots of channels. And although I have it plugged into the mains it eats 4 aa battery's in no time.

DAB is OK sometimes. In my car it sounds like a record is jumping sometimes as it flicks backwards and forwards between DAB and FM when the signal is marginal.

Well we all best get used to it as FM is going the way of the dodo soon then we'll be stuck with DAB. I personally just use internet radio through Wi-Fi. Crystal clear and any station in the world. In the car I run it via my mobile data

Hmmm, wi-fi is not my friend at work either.
I have 50+ transmitter / receiver kits at work which i prep for hire, and it just so happens the company wi-fi is on the same bandwidth.

Some days are better than others but it can be very difficult to get things working some days.  :wall

Are there actually any speed cameras in these motorway variable limit gantry's?.

Every time I go through the ones on the M25 everyone else is tearing through at least 20 MPH faster.

Do they all know something I don't? :rolleyes

When one front brake pad is near the limit, and the rest still have a bit of mileage in them. All have worn evenly too. More expense  :rolleyes

Some, and yes, they know something you don't (apparently). They have camera warnings enabled on their sat navs. Although I don't trust this to be foolproof.

It's where the rain gets in when on the sidestand parked up most likely.
Bloody nuisance but needs sorting.

I find that highly unlikely. I'm not quite as bad as fazersharp, but not far off. Rain? What's that then?  :lol

My bike sits outside in the rain at work, so had it myself at work.
Leaning to the left it does make sense, unless you are the Sharpster.

Riding home tonight, and went past a little scrotebag parked up sitting on a scooter, hiding behind a car with no visible lid but wearing a balaclava with only eyes and nose cut outs AND wearing a hoodie.
These pricks need shooting.

Take it from me there are.

I used to work with a guy who set up the original cameras. But at that time, if you kept your bike on the white lines between the lanes, the cameras would never be activated. Film was too expensive to process and they didn't want two camera zones overlapping and getting twice as many pictures of the cars as they needed so there was actually an intentional blind spot between each of the lanes.

Of course, with the cameras all being digital now, that may have changed.

Asda have installed cameras on the self service checkouts with the monitor at the right position for me to be staring at myself.
I'll be interested to see the staff reaction when I start hanging a cap on it

Whilst on the supermarket subject --- check out people who cough or sneeze into their hands and then handle your food with that hand
