One of the first personal plates I remember seeing was COM1C in 1966 on Jimmy Tarbucks 280SL Mercedes, although there was a wealthy MP named Nabarro who had a fleet of posh cars with NAB1,NAB2 etc. Often spotted around Belgravia in the 70's was Fiona Richmond's Radford Mini Cooper S which had FU2.
Around here there are about 30 cars all with the number plate (in their minds ) RITESH

I assume that's meant to read British, if so.....bellends 8)

my gripe is travel insurance for disabled people

looking to get away with the family so asked the DR to say she's fit to travel. He says I can't say that and no Dr would, all I can do is give a statement of fact (print out of medical history) and the Ins. Co. will have to say ye or nay based on that
rang the Ins. Co. (All Clear who are recommended by the Stroke Association) and ask for a quote for the Mrs

it then goes......

we'll save all the details and share them with others, so I ask who are you sharing them with....evasive answer given
I need your details.....I'm not asking for cover so why do you need mine.....answered policy
whats your phone number...... x directory mate you aint getting it
I need the Dr to say in writing she's fit to travel, I explain the Doc won't do that but I have a SOF

well its policy to have the Dr write so we cannot take this on unless.....

I say forget it.......All Clear? stay clear!!!

move onto 2nd Ins Co. (LV) a few questions and quote goes through with no dramas

wanted quotes on going to the US but being told its a non starter, if anyone's been the US can you give me details of Ins Co?

Maddog - Hopefully I am trying to teach my grandmother to suck eggs but........

Almost all insurance companies will exclude pre-existing conditions or events that could even be loosely related to that. Are you sure you want to travel so far, to a country currently run by a muppet, given the health history of your wife?
I can completely understand the desire to go somewhere for a break and for that place to be warm and sunny but if it was me I would look MUCH closer to home just in case there was an issue as the insurance wont cover everything.

Hopefully you will get that break soon though. I'm sure you need it.

BB, the Mrs has done the US years ago and would like to go back with us. I'm not arsed about the Muppet but I can take it or leave it tbh. Surprisingly, there are Ins co's that will insure with pre existing conditions and they're not charging the earth which is a surprise though you're right, most won't.
I'll go the policy with a fine tooth comb though ;) the hol will do us all good wherever we end up

My Mrs really hit the roof today, she carries a donor card, like we all should. I thought I was doing her a favour as I attached a note to the donor card.
All it said was in the event of an accident DO NOT RESUSCITATE, Like why is she upset??? am I missing something here?

All these future planned increases in the state retirement age to 66..67..68..69..70.............

It's alright for people that sit at a desk all day and don't have to lift anything heavier than a pencil.

People that do hard manual labour pick up injuries and wear out quicker.

How are all the construction, road-workers or scaffolders meant to breeze along on to past 70? >:

Because they hope we will die before we retire and they will not have to pay us any pension at all.

Stupid foccing neighbours  :wall
For giving the job of replacing their back fence to pikeys who both turned up in clapped out transits registerd in Ireland, took 3 days to do 1 days work and completely focced up my back fence when they had to join their side to mine with a post decided that it was too late to do that and thought that 2 nails and a tin strip 3inches long would do instead and that the resulting 2inch gap my fence now has so that any tom dick or Harry can look into my garden through is alright.
After pointing out to my neighbour when I saw this which unknown to me was after pikey paddy and his stupid side kick had been paid and shot off in a cloud of diesel smoke, he says I'll call them and get them back ........what a surprise the phone number he had for them doesn't work, to which I ask "how did you contact them"? "Oh we didn't they knocked asking if we needed work doing and they were a reasonable price so they started there and then" "did you check their work before paying"I say "no it looked ok from inside the house" he says. Aaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhhh  :fish
There really is no cure for stooopid and I've got to sort out my side of the fence luckily my house is council and his isn't so they'll come and fix the fence and send him the bill for the lot  :deal

FFS.  :foc There is no way that Pikeys in an Irish registered Transit would do a job like that. :eek

Just found out when we walked the dog earlier instead of disposing of the old fence parts ( loads of it ) at the tip or whatever they've fly tipped it round the corner.
I really feel like pointing out to the council where it came from :rolleyes

their spokesman says the bank has still got great potential to rip off the taxpayer even more to ensure that the fat bastards at the top of the bank can still get their bonuses.

Fixed that for you.
