trolling through ebay looking for bits for the other machine (cos my fazer is perfick) and found this
WHY??????

What's wrong with that???  I've got one fitted to my fazer!! And it makes it run like.................. Well........... Like............. Foccing exactly the same!!  Hehe

there aren't any plugs on it :eek

some bright spark has unplugged them with side cutters :rollin

yeh, but you can hard wire it,, he says,, as when he nicked it he found it easier just to snip the wires off :lol

I had one on my GSXR years ago and it just plugs in, so why the plugs have been cut i don't know.

I do have one on my FZ6 and it not only takes out the "hole" in the power curve between 5 and 6000 RPM where Yamaha de-tuned the engine map to meet emissions regulations, I can also switch to the "fun mode" map which gives a nice power boost (ok, and I lose about 25% fuel efficiency, but you can't have everything!)

Agreed, these things can/do change the mapping on most fuel injected bikes (as you say at a cost)....... But I've seen them advertised for the fzs which as a carb bike can make sweet fa difference!!
