I upgraded the headlight... HID projector with angel eyes... all I have to do now is to figure out how to hide cables  :)

Maybe could of done a great thread on "how to" or you could still do if you've got pics of your workings etc I'm sure it would be of interest to people on here :)

New can.

Delkevic 450mm Oval Stainless Steel Silencer to fit FZS600 FAZER (1997-2003)  KIT0604 - the reasons I've got this one: I like it, its shiny. Cheap £119. Comes as a compltely full kit: the oval can, link pipe, all brakets, inside seal on the link pipe, even red tube with red silicone. Quality kit.

450mm keeps the sound low hence I keep the baffle in too. Happy neighbours - probably :-)  and bonus no headache for me too LOL.

INB4 if you want low deep rumble sound get V twin bike. IL4s are for screaming...

Getting the old girl ready for no limits trackday on the 28 th Feb, fitted a reverse shift gear lever to see if that makes it any more racy ha ha.

Collected my Wilbers rear shock yesterday and installed today. All bolts torqued up. Rear wheel refitted, chain tension adjusted, rear calliper (rebuilt) refitted & bled. Tyre pressures adjusted, battery trickle charged. Fired up outside before the rain arrived & ran her up to temperature.
Next job will be to remove & repaint centrestand. Front forks need overhaul then ready for riding again!  :lol

Finished off fitting the new fairing and put the graphics on.

A good mate made the graphics for me, not completely identical to original but as I am restoring the old girl, only get her back to clean original-ish condition they look great.

Also put some black plastic caps on the mirror stalk nuts just to tidy the inside up.

Very pleased.

Your right - how silly of me I should know better.

So pictures of fairing, stickers and black mirror caps and chrome handle bar clamp caps as requested.

First track day of the year. Spot the odd one out.

We had a great if somewhat cold day at Snetterton, the old girl still managed to upset plenty of bikes, new vids on Youtube.

Did my first oil and filter change since getting my boxeye. FZS600 really is an easy bike to work on, took me no time.

Had a top day, messing with the race bikes, a couple of close shaves with guys not looking. Some new vids on Youtube, the camera mounts were not to good so a bit shaky

Actually got the old girl out on the road today, thoroughly enjoyed a good, if chilly towards the end, 60 mile run to actually enjoy the fruits of my hard work.

Loved it!

First picture is her when I bought her, second one as she looks today.

Still got things to do, mainly cosmetic and a service.

Cheers Doggy

New tyres today Michelin Road Pilot 3, they look and feel great so far. Will be taking it easy 50 miles, although the tyres guy told me they need only 5 miles scrubing:

Does he repair bikes also? :lol :lol :lol

I would not be pushing them to hard for 100 miles on dry roads.

Excellent choice of tyres, put them on mine and fealt the difference within 1 mile :)
Had the bike leaned far more than before within about 10 miles.  They just ooze confidence.  :)

It's ok, looking at the size of the chicken strips he's not been pushing hard!  :pokefun :lol
