Am I the only one who thinks its a bit bonkers to buy the nicest colour of fazer and then to respray it?
I agree it's the best original colours Mick. But I'm now thinking it doesn't look quite right. With an all red tank, black fairing and tail unit with red stickers, it looks like they didn't give it that much thought, doesn't quite all tie in.
It's a 3 grand bike at best. I didn't buy it with an eye to resale, but to use. Who knows, maybe it too will take a fancy to hedges one day
It's not important to me to keep it absolutely pristine. I just want it right for
me. This may well be my last Fazer, certainly the last one I throw money at. It's like buying an older Jap classic, Z650, GS1000, Z1 etc. Whilst it's nice to look at a mint original in a museum or show, that's not what it's about for me. I'd have to mod it up in the way that folks did back then, to make it handle better, go better, look better in my eyes. It's just a little project to get it how I want it (or rather, for Luke to get it how I want it
). And as to this being a rare colour, I've seen nothing but this colour since I bought this one
Not seen a custom colour scheme that grabs me yet. I do have one idea, but not certain about it yet. It might now have to wait a while anyway, but still looking. Difficult to come up with something that fits the Fazer's lines.
