I have one like it, it's ok to lock helmet to bike but only stops anyone just walking away with it but a pair of pliers would get past it?

That's all it is, a visual deterrent, I use similar to strap my helmet when I'm meeting mates etc but where we're away from the bikes, but they're still in view :-)
If i wanted my bike secure, I'd take my ex and her bite's worse than a rottweiler :lol
