Which Brake pads
« on: 07 April 2015, 01:21:48 pm »
Hello people sure this has come up a few times before
I'm gonna be replacing my pads pretty soon
What is the pad of choice?
Also what are sintered pads?

Thanks Tom

I would second what they say about Armstrong. I had a set of Armstrong HH pads which came with a ZZR 600 I owned. Absolute rubbish in the wet, fine in the dry. I was riding over the Cwmystwyth pass in pouring rain and I ended up riding at about 20mph because the pads needed 50-100 yards before they would start working. God bless my brown trousers is all I can say!

Ive always been a fan of EBC HH, good when hot and for me, good when commuting in the rain, no delay in braking waiting for the water to disperse, got them in my FZS, awesome, love them.

A lot of us use SBS ceramic pads. I love them. Good feel, plenty bite and work just the same wet or dry.

I can recommend these on the front, I'm not a heavy braker anyway but they just don't seem to wear out and are very kind to the discs too.
Think I've had them nearly 2 years now and they are still in excellent condition!

I have bought SBS Ceramics for the rear, but the caliper I bought had very good OEM's still in so I'll wear them out first.

Thanks a lot for the info read the links
And advice
Sbs is the obvious choice the only thing now is the rating oe are gg but when I search gg I only seem to find organic pads
I think I want sintered but they only seem to come in hh is that right ?
